UV AB flim white background paper vs. transparent background paper, which is more useful?
The structure of AB film finished products is similar to a sandwich principle, consisting of three layers: a thin protective film on the surface, a crystal film in the middle, and a backing paper.The backing paper is a crucial element determining whether the crystal label can be transferred intact and easily.
High-quality backing paper must first possess suitable adhesion and hardness, firmly adhering to the pattern while easily separating the two, allowing even complex and minute patterns to be easily transferred to the transfer paper. Secondly, it must have stable chemical properties, maintaining its length and width regardless of changes in ambient temperature and humidity, preventing wrinkling or deformation that could affect the pattern and the final print quality.
Crystal label backing paper on the market generally comes in two types: transparent backing paper and white backing paper. The differences and advantages/disadvantages of these two types will be discussed in detail below.
Transparent backing paper:
As the name suggests, it is a transparent release liner. For the same length of length, it is smaller and lighter, making it easier to transport. During the printing process, it is easier to monitor the print quality and make adjustments as needed.
However, it also has a drawback: it places higher demands on the printer's paper feeding system and is prone to wrinkling.
White-backed paper:
The white background makes it more environmentally friendly, and its white background provides a better display effect for the finished product.
There are also disadvantages, such as a larger volume and therefore greater weight for the same length of paper; the page display during printing is also less effective. Additionally, due to its material properties, it is highly absorbent and more susceptible to moisture, requiring proper storage in a cool, dry environment.
How to choose suitable crystal label backing paper?
1. The backing paper uses high-quality Singula release paper.
2. It can firmly adhere to the pattern, has strong adhesion, and is easy to pick up and separate during transfer.
3. It has a dense and uniform texture with good internal strength and light transmittance.
4. It has high temperature resistance, moisture resistance, and oil resistance.
